Air gulping side scoops

Worried that I may be not gulping all the available air into the lower pressure void behind the screen where the pilot sits I fashioned a breakfast cereal box into two side scoops, wrapped them in parcel tape and made scoops from fibreglass this afternoon to sit under each side of the BMW K series windshield. A few days later I had the chance to stick four inch tufts of cotton all over the inside and outside of the screen and ride the bike in still air up to 70mph and found to my pleasure I was sat in a bubble of gentle breeze - the side air scoops have a blank wall at the rear so are shaped like a hollow brick with one long side missing, the incoming air is therefore obliged to turn 90 degrees to the forward direction and mix with the air behind the screen thus avoiding the rider being sat behind two nozzles blasting outside air at his face. The tufts prove that air is coming up between the inner and outer screens as on the Voyager headlamp intake satifactorily. Very pleasant environment in which to ride the bike, no doubt I shall ride faster now, thus ruining my fuel economy!
