Electric Eco & Quantya Electric bike in 2008

Brno, July 2008: Arnold Wagner, founder of Peraves and designer of the original Ecomobile, sitting in the first (and only) electric Ecomobile. This machine was converted by its owner, Roger Riedener, from K1100 to Brusa power in the months running up to the 2008 Brno event, with help from Brusa engineers. Alongside is Tobi Wuelser on his Lynch-powered electric Quantya dirt bike. Tobi was also the designer of the MonoTracer and went on to circumnavigate the world in 80 days in the DesignWerk ZeroTracer in 2010-2011 which he shared and built with Frank Loacker. Standing far left is Gustav Prochazka, builder of Ecomobiles and MonoTracers in Brno. Standing far right is Reto Seitz, buyer of the first MonoTracer to be sold and winner of the 'race' from Munich to Berlin against a Hayabusa and a Corvette for German TV. Reto's first Monotracer went on to become the first electric one, MT 72.
In the hands of Roger Riedener, this electric Ecomobile set the fastest lap time of the week, despite a downpour of rain half way through, and you can have an exciting ride on board with him by going here:
