Paul Blezard in the Newell-modified MK2 version of the Flying Banana in Spring 1987 with the 1904 Kerry on which Martin Shelley had just completed the 50th Pioneer Run from Epsom to Brighton, complete with flat tyre.
Martin's brother Andrew is standing behind the Kerry.
Martin kindly sent me a scan of this photo in March 2012, almost 25 years after it was taken! In retrospect it seems like a prescient precursor to the scene we set up for the BBC Top Gear filming at Wroughton aerodrome less than a year later, with a much wider selection of old and new machinery!
