Frame clamp stars

Carpenters frame clamps aren't really stiff enough to be useful welding clamps, although the unbeatable jaw opening is sometimes crucial.

Here's a use where my 'legacy' frame clamp really fits the bill, clamping suspension up to 'full bump' while checking clearances on full lock. There's anough adjustment for any suspension system, the screw length is nicely longer than the travel on these Hagon 300mm struts and the coarse thread gives rapid adjustment. I must oil it someday.
