New XJ900 headlamp makes bulb changing much easier!

I have to take out the high output blue tinted bulb every year and replace it with a standard one for the annual MoT test.

Frustrated by the limited access at the rear of the Kawasaki headlamp because of the fairing mounting brackets which makes the job take an hour I replaced it with a Yamaha one from my pile of spares from 'two whole bikes'. This one quickly releases with just two nuts at the front.

Totally different rectangular shape so had to refashion the hole it sits in, and now it is supported by the fairing not a separate bracket on the frame.

Very slowly the bike morphs towards a monocoque Yamaha 900 engined FF...:)

For some reason I always celebrate my wife's absence on holiday in October each year with a bike purchase or modification ;)

Still Bananas

I like the way the Banana fairing is still just about discernable. That's one seriously legacy piece of GRP, been in use longer than any other, post-Quasar, FF part.

As long as that's there it'll never turn into a Vulva!

Glad you like it Royce! Yes it is pretty much intact including the Difazio sticker protected under masking tape painted red on the top part of the right hand side! Olde Bobbe
