In 2005 I drove this 1987 Ecomobile from the factory in Winterthur, Switzerland to the Brno Grand Prix circuit at the far end of the Czech Republic. It was the first time I'd driven an Eco in 11 years and I had about one hour's 'refresher course' in a deserted car park before setting off on the two-day journey. On the way back, this machine clocked 137mph on my GPS on a German autobahn. I also picked Elspeth up from Prague airport when she flew in for the last day of the Brno training and drove her the 120-odd miles back to the circuit in about 90 minutes. PNB
