RR2016 - KawaBanana at Ste Mère Eglise, Cherbourg Peninsula, on the way down. A paratrooper was caught up on the right hand edge of the church roof on D-Day during the Normandy Landings in WW11 and each Summer the spirit of that day is evoked by the exhibition of a mannekin in US Airborne uniform with parachute for the tourists.
