Hub Centre Steering on Saietta NGS
This is the best shot I have of the hub centre steering on the prototype Saietta NGS, taken when it was first shown at the 2016 Cenex LCV conference.
As can be seen from the other photos in this folder, the bike was given a new paint job for its 2017 appearance, but seemed no closer to becoming a working prototype.
Note the bizarre 'shard' of front fairing apparently designed to prevent the bike from leaning properly in corners and to stop it from being pushed up a kerb!

Designer!
Nice to see some development of this system, another take on the axle retention system, looks capable of rapid removal, also radial brake mounting an obviously useful development from the old two pot AP calliper - although those units seem to stop the wheel going round just fine...
Looks like they may finally have found some slightly smaller ball joints for the steering links. And a cast wheel at last! Lotsa fancy stuff there, not sure it'll be any lighter than the Voyager unit but it sure looks more "designer", as opposed to something that does the same job but is invisible inside the nose of an FF.
It's great to see some evidence that Two wheeler design hasn't come to a complete standstill these last twenty years. "We've gone to Electric Power, isn't
that enough?" No.
