Eco Owner in Voyager, 1991

This is a bit of a historic photo, taken in Switzerland in March 1991, when I was on my way back from the VDI (German engineers') conference in Munich, at which Philippe Le Roux of Norton presented the keynote speech that I wrote for him on 'The Future Motorcycle'. In the back of the Voyager demo machine is Viktor Strausak who was one of the first five people to pilot an Ecomobile and I believe, the very first to buy one. Like Arnold Wagner, he was a Swissair pilot, but unlike Arnold, he was obsessed with Harley-Davidsons. He had about 40 in the garage beneath his house! By the time this photo was taken Viktor had already sold his Eco! He had a short ride in the Voyager on his own. It had the conventional motorcycle handlebars fitted for that trip and a better, rider's eye view of them can be seen elsewhere in this folder, here: http://bikeweb.com/node/3355. PNB
