Blez tries the new-look Banana for size in 1999 after its thorough refurbishment by new owner Bob Winsper, with a bit of help and inspiration from Royce Creasey. The Banana felt incredibly slow-steering compared to the Piaggio GTX250 which I had ridden 120 miles from London, two up. Bob was so unnerved by the relative twitchiness of the Piaggio that he stopped after a few hundred yards, convinced that there was something badly wrong with it! Paul Blezard
