I have owned the Killeen K17 for the last five years, got it running and working well enough to take to a few transport shows and steam rallies where the more recent photo`s on this site were taken. It is not registered or road worthy although I have had the retractable stabalisers working .I rode it on the runway at Wroughton transport festival a few years ago ,it is quite stable once it is on two wheels but I have to confess to only going up to 40 mph.
Last year I gave it a quickie restoration and new screen for the steam rally season,but unfortunately it was hit by a runaway driverless tractor at Eversham steam rally,the stabaliser mechanism was damaged and some cosmetic damage to bodywork,(A friends Norman was flattened by the tractor)so I will not show it this year,pitty as it allways attracts alot of attention.
Anyone with any information on the date of publication of original road test by Bob Curry,or the article in British Bike Mechanics would be gratefully received.
