I bought two of these secondhand and have used one on the Norton FF at the joint above top of wheel, where the top Foale A-arm meets the upright that carries the single sided front wheel. It has suitably low stiction in operation, and together with ball races at lower end of upright , gives very nice low friction steering. It is also designed as this type of pivot (vertical loads etc), unlike rod ends! It has built in dust cover ,so will be low maintenance too.
