Voyager Card front (V05 2-up in 1991)

This photocard shows Paul Blezard at the controls of V05 when it was the Voyager demonstrator, in Paris, in March 1991. The passenger was a member of Moto Journal's staff who wrote a short article about his experience for the French weekly magazine. Blez was on his way back from the annual conference of the VDI, the German Engineers' Institute, in Munich, where Philippe Le Roux gave the keynote speech, written by PNB, on The Future Motorcycle.
PNB/Blez adds: At the time of writing (Aug 2011) copies of this card were still available on ebay from Socalsindy for a bargain $1.98, here:

The reverse of the card has a succinct summary of the machine's pros and cons, complete with specifications, including the somewhat optimistic claims for weight and power that were made by SCL at the time of the Voyager's launch.....
UPDATE 2018. As can be seen from the V05 folder elsewhere, Graham Robb had this machine painted a smart blue, complete with red Welsh dragon on the bonnet, a few years ago! The most recent snap of V05 on bikeweb is probably the one that Bob Wreford took at the 2016 Riberac Reunion, with former SCL salesman Nick Lowings, here:
