2 Quasars + a Zero! (2023)

Mark Crowson's red 'QuickaQuasar' and his more standard, but still modified, white Quasar at Herstmonceux Observatory with Carla McKenzie's all-electric 2017 Zero DSR. Mark also has a Zero of his own. I was privileged to ride the QuickaQuasar on that day in October 2023. Naturally, we have talked about creating an all-electric Quasar! PNB

QuickaQuasar

I thought the white one was the QuickaQuasar.

QuickaQuasar

I thought the white one was the QuickaQuasar? Can't get rid of the second one!

No, the red one is definitely the QuickaQuasar

No, the red one is definitely the QuickaQuasar. It has a raised roof, a Moto Guzzi Gearbox, a tuned Reliant engine and is about 40kg lighter than a standard Quasar. The white Quasar is the first one Mark acquired, way back in the mid-1980s. It has lots of subtle improvements, and some weight loss, but still has the Reliant gearbox. The white Quasar is the one that Mark Crowson rode during the Top Gear filming in 1988 and also on the cover of Classic Bike magazine in July 2000.PNB

Thanks for clarifying. Colin
