Standard DR storage perched on a Vultus (2016)

I had hoped that this off-the-shelf, second-hand courier storage unit would slide snugly over the back end of the Vultus to provide lots of cheap carrying capacity with minimal modification. Sadly, the Honda's side panels are a little too wide, so they would have to be removed in order to locate the unit properly. However, I'm pretty certain this unit could be plonked directly over the strangely naked back end of BMW's CE04 to provide both backrest and storage – with no need to worry about accommodating an exhaust either! Top Box

Paul, if its only a bit out, a lot of plastics will deform when heated, so get a piece of wood roughly the outside shape of the side panel, then a larger sheet of wood to cover the opposite side to lend support, and distribute the load, then fit a scissor jack in between, and then working from inside the box, slowly apply heat from a heat gun, and as it warms start to expand the scissor jack until the desired shape is reached, then leave it there until completely cold, then the same the other side. Interesting suggestion!

Interesting suggestion Dave! If I still had the Vultus I might well try it! See the head-on photo of this unit for a better idea of how tight the fit was. Here:https://bikeweb.com/node/3878

Things can only get better!

Obviously needs a couple of hours work with photoshop and a pic of the BMWC04, then it can be released to MCN to generally buck things up, with copy to BMW of course - they need all the help they can get.

I must say, looking at this lot, I feel better and better about Voyager "Styling"
